| So I was googling around looking for more scans from a certain shoxx (failed), and ended up here. FUCKING JACKPOT HOLY GOD. I got like 15 magazine scans with Plastic Tree in them that are pre-bucchi era. THERE WAS EVEN ONE THAT WAS PRE-TAKASHI. WE'RE TALKING 90'S HERE. IT'S AMAZING. In a '98 Vicious, there was some ongoing interview with Ryutaro, which I could surprisingly read in its entirety. OBVIOUSLY THAT MEANS TRANSLATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Too lazy to look up the few words I didn't know, but I swear it's still a reliable translation. They were all in the interviewer's portion anyway. ( I wouldn't be surprised if this has already been translated )Yeah, run-on sentences abound. If I wasn't so lazy I would have broken those up, but for now just take them as they are. And apologies for the awkward intro translation. It's not that important. And it's 4AM. gonna look through the rest of these magazines and then sleep maybe. Please point out any mistakes if you see them! | |

| I've only seen a translation of this in Spanish, and though I know almost no Spanish, it got me curious enough to translate it into English and helped immensely with "Halcion". Actually, it's mostly my obsession with this video that made me want to translate it, so feel free to watch and read or watch then read or read then watch! Anyway I fucking love this song! It's also about pills!(or perhaps teenage angst - which is fascinating since I believe Ryutaro was around 30 when this song came out) And is very choppy and doesn't make a lot of sense, which isn't entirely the fault of my translating skills. Enjoy! Barrier I always think in black and white I like what I like I hate what I hate After school The cracked chiming It echoes My eardrums are going to burst
Aspirin Fake laughs Tears of frustration A classmate Chameleon A barrier stood Am I alive? Am I dead?* A lump of gelatin A lump of gelatin
My palm I cut the line of fate My fingertips look kind of nice dyed red Reality Through a mosaic The afterimage Is going to break one of my eyes
Halcion The smell of water Blind piano An act of redemption Distortion A beautiful aria If my flowing blood Were to disappear My heart would be transparent
I can live, without feeling anything Right now, everything I believed in so much is collapsing
Aspirin Fake laughs Tears of frustration A classmate Chameleon A barrier stood Am I alive? Am I dead?*
My transparent heart Go ahead, touch it
I can live, without feeling anything Right now, everything I believed in so much is collapsing *This is the only line I had trouble making sense out of, which I'm quite proud of. Doesn't mean there aren't other mistakes in there though, so do point them out if you notice any. Not that the song will make any more sense, but, well. - mood:accomplished

| a lovely entry Edamame. Teruki death.
It was rainy today, huh? I drank alone at home for the first time in a while. The best part about drinking at home is listening to your favorite music as long as you want. I think I've written about this before.
When I used to live in Okinawa, I rented a house with the band I was in at the time, and all 4 of us lived there together. Since we didn't have the money to go out drinking, we always drank at home. But it was really fun; music sounds completely different when you're drunk than it does when you're sober.* By the way, it's also really nice to burn incense at the same time. Even though I'm now able to go out drinking, sake tastes best when I'm at home listening to my favorite music.
Later, for some reason I got a call from my old manager. I wonder why, it's been so many years. He was the manager of a bar I worked in when I lived in Sendai. It was nice to hear from him~☆ He told me about some of my coworkers, like "◯◯ is also living in Tokyo~" and things like that. Ahh, I miss them.
Good night.
*He didn't specify the subject so he could have meant listening to people when drunk is different than when sober, but since most of the paragraph was about listening to music I went with that.I've been getting less and less direct with my translations because I've realized that's not very practical for preserving the tone of how someone's writing. Kind of an obvious thing to do.. Anyway, I want to be Teruki when I grow up. This is a man who knows how to live. - mood:relaxed

| It has issues and I don't think I preserved the mood quite right but you get the gist of the song. So please, listen, read, and enjoy! I like the Hanamoete performance of the song best, so I uploaded it to youtube. Here is a rip of the song, unfortunately wma because I hate windows movie maker, and here is the video(which I wanted to actually subtitle but I couldn't find a program that works with vista): High up in the atmosphere, a man-made satellite found me and laughed. It laughed. Be with me forever! In the nuclear shelter I'll give you bread and water and love. I'll give you love.
Even if time passes, even if we're going to forget, we have to save it Silly laughter, tearful voices - if it's not you, it's no good! The sky with a broken ozone layer. It's beautiful, So let's get in the fridge, just you and me.
"Hello~Goodbye." Without confidence, I sent you mail. I sent mail. A boy made in Japan. His carrier pigeon's eyes roll and it falls. It's stopped. It's stopped.
If time will pass, if I'm going to forget, I have to go get you. Even if I do the impossible you ignore me, you don't want someone like me! Even if we sink underwater, what's wrong with that? It's just the two of us inside the fridge
Even if time passes, even if we're going to forget, we have to treasure it Wherever I go, wherever I am, if we're not together, it's no good! The sky with a broken ozone layer. It's turning pale.
Let's get in the fridge, just you and me. why am I doing this instead of writing my political science research paper WHO CARES LET'S GET IN THE FUCKING FRIDGE- mood:bouncy

| This is why: The Power Of Goodbye 2009/04/01 12:50
Teruki death.* Today was a live in Argentina's capital, Buenos Aires.
I checked out the new drum set and was surprised by how thick the frame was. It was so thick I couldn't do my usual settings (^_^;) But there's some good to that☆
After rehearsal ended this evening, I told a livehouse crew member through our translator, "I'd like to take a picture from the rooftop", and he brought out a ladder. He put the long ladder against the wall and I climbed up. It was kind of scary, but no matter what I wanted to see the sun start to set so I didn't hesitate. The crew member was climbing with me, and he asked, "You need more?" so I requested "Yesu! Mo-a! Mo-a!"** and we started climbing yet another ladder that was just grips stuck to the wall. There were other tall buildings around, but it was still a pretty good view☆ It turned into a great memory.
The live was also a lot of fun. I could hear the cafekko's voices very clearly, they got so loud. Thank you very much, Argentina cafekko! *"Death" is pronounced the same as "desu" in Japanese so read aloud, he's saying "It's Teruki." **"Yes! More! More!" He wrote "You need more?" in English and what he said in katakana. I just preserved it so you could read it properly in his voice C: OH the blog title was also written in English, if you didn't go to the original entry and see that already, hahahe wanted a picture of the Argentina sunset so bad he climbed a scary ladder to get to a roof ♥ - mood:happy

| FHAKHSLFH god. I finished translating Sora to Ito. I'll post it public, but I am not confident in my translation and so will not post it to the MUCC community. I just wanted to know what the song is about and if you're impatient like me, this is the gist of it. ( Sora to ito )- mood:sad
